On 16–17 April 2026, the 4th National Conference of Doctoral Schools was held in Wrocław, organized by the University of Wrocław. The event brought together representatives of 98 Doctoral Schools from across Poland, representing the country’s major academic and research institutions.
The conference discussions focused on a summary of the functioning of doctoral schools after six years of the current legal framework, as well as on challenges facing higher education, particularly in the context of evaluation processes, the role of artificial intelligence, and the status of doctoral candidates.
The Doctoral School of the Cracow University of Technology was represented by:
the Management of the Doctoral School (SD PK) – Małgorzata Cimochowicz‑Rybicka, DSc Eng., Professor at CUT, Agnieszka Leśniak, DSc Eng., Professor at CUT, as well as
the representative of the SD PK Council – Maria Kurańska, DSc Eng., Professor at CUT.
The next edition of the conference is scheduled to take place in 2027 in Szczecin.
