Suspension of education takes place under the rules of maternity leave / leave under the conditions of maternity leave / supplementary maternity leave / paternity leave / parental leave.
In accordance with §12 of the General Regulations of CUT Doctoral School:
1. Upon the doctoral student’s request, the Director of the Doctoral School suspends the education process for the period corresponding to the period of maternity leave, leave equivalent to maternity leave, paternity leave or parental leave, as specified in the Act of 26 June 1974 – the Labour Code.
According to the Act, Article 209:
6. During the period of suspension of education, the provisions concerning the determination of the amount of the maternity allowance shall apply accordingly to the determination of the amount of the doctoral scholarship, except that the basis for the amount of the allowance shall be the monthly doctoral scholarship referred to in sec. 4, applicable on the date of the application for suspension.
The deadlines specified in the IPB are extended by the duration of the suspension of education.
A doctoral student who has suspended education is obliged to inform the CUT Doctoral School Office of the planned resumption of education, no later than 2 weeks before the end of the suspension period.
