Inauguration

On 3 October 2025, the seventh inauguration of the academic year of the Doctoral School of the Cracow University of Technology took place. The ceremony was solemn and was led by the Director of the Doctoral School, Małgorzata Cimochowicz-Rybicka PhD, Prof. of CUT. During the ceremony, new doctoral students were matriculated and officially accepted into the doctoral community of the Cracow University of Technology. This is a special moment for young scientists starting their research careers.

The Vice-Rector for Science, Magdalena Niemczewska-Wójcik, PhD, Prof. of CUT, who offered her warm congratulations on the start of the academic year. At the end of the ceremony, she presented diplomas to doctoral students, winners and participants of the CUT University Scientific Circles Session, recognising their scientific achievements and activity in the life of the university.

The highlight of the ceremony was the inaugural lecture by Prof. Stanisław Drożdż, who presented a topic close to both theory and scientific practice in a fascinating way, inspiring doctoral students to further research activities. The University Council of Doctoral Students of the CUT was represented by Paweł Wołkanowski, MSc, Vice-President of the URSD, who also addressed a few words to the newly admitted doctoral students.
